About Conductivity
Excellent design and a name steeped in audio history for exceptional cassette decks. Dual set-screws provide a very positive mechanical and electrical connection. Mechanically, the conductor (wire) will break before the set-screws give up their grip.. Electrically, the dual set-screws provide a large area of contact on the inserted conductor.- a good thing where long speaker wire runs can add additional resistance to the load seen by the amplifier. As a home-theater designer and installer I have used many versions of speaker connectors (so called banana plugs) and find these well-designed plugs hold extremely well to the inserted conductor. While requiring a bit more effort to install than the hand-screw type, it is well worth it not to have the conductor detach from the plug while fishing wires through many varieties of audio cabinets and walls. Highly recommended.

Good, but not Nakamichi
These are advertised as Nakamichi banana plugs, and indeed look very like them. However, they are knock-offs (copies). The quality is not as high as the genuine item - for example, the fixing screws have smaller heads and are not of the same quality, and the lettering rubs off fairly easily (and indeed had done in the packet on a couple of the ones I had bought). Having said that, they are of the same excellent design as the genuine Nakamichi plugs, they work very well, and the price is reasonable. Amazing quality!
Although these look the same OE as the Sewell Silverbacks, these are much higher quality, the overall finish of the plugs are smoothed with no sharp edges. The most important part are the bullet screws, these are smoothed off so they do not damage the copper wire strands when tightening, whereas the Sewell Silverbacks are unfinished so when torqued too high they will cause damage.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
