Good product!
I have always been interested in flight simulators and flying aircraft in games (when available). The controller feels great and is simple to connect (for the games that allow it). One minor problem that I have is the “clasp” for putting them together... it does not hold them together perfectly and you kind of have to awkwardly stack / shove them together. Other than that, I really recommend this for anyone who wants to take flight in game!

Great when it works
It’s a great product when it works. It had a little bit of drift but nothing a 5-10% dead zone would fix. I really liked mine but it started pitching forward intermittently. When it was working it was great. Sadly mine started to have issues after a few days. I had a problem with the pitch and when I researched fixes, it seems a lot of people have problems with the roll or yaw. Not really usable if you can’t fly straight. Also you really need a PC to troubleshoot the problems. I’m really surprised at Thrustmaster that you can only update the firmware with Windows. I’m fine with it only working on PS4 & PC but you should be able to update the firmware via PS4 or Mac.

..... not sure how you got you’re hands on new old stock but this surely is not used!! Given the package looks like it came from the bottom of the ocean, the controller itself looks brand new and in fantastic condition! I would recommend anyone thinking about buying this as a no brainer, save a few bucks! Box is not in the best condition obviously as stated but the controller itself looks brand new and performs like brand new!

Pretty great low-cost HOTAS option
It was super easy to get the drivers up and running on Windows 11. Everything works and feels exactly like you'd expect. There's even a tension adjustment knob on the bottom of the flight stick so that you can change how stiff / loose it feels. There's plenty of cable there for separating the 2 halves and mounting them, but the cable management system that's built into the bottom makes it pretty easy to only expose as much cable as is needed. So far, I've used it to play Descent, Overload, and MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries. It took a bit of setup / tinkering to get everything working with MW5, but that's on the game, not the controller. So far, I'm very happy with this thing. If you're looking for top-of-the-line SIM controls, this ain't it... but if you're wanting a fun starter HOTAS so that you can try out a more immersive control scheme for space, flight, and mech games - then you'll enjoy this thing.

There's a learning curve with Squadrons, but after a couple weeks it's smooth like butter.
My advice, don't change the controls. Just learn what's mapped. The joy stick is easy enough, but the throttle has buttons that aren't intuitive. But in time it'll become second nature.

Big Improvement over regular PS4 controller
Use my Thrustmaster Flight Hotas 4 for Ace Combat 7 - AWESOME !! Placement of controller buttons, Joystick (with the ability to adjust movement sensitivity-friction)and the Thrust lever with control button placement allows easy access to map views, and defensive flare deployment is an exceptional improvement over the standard PS4 controllers !! Difficult to load required information.
If I can figure out how to get it installed on the play station, I think it will be great. However, I have had no luck getting it to work. You need somehow to download additional drivers to get it to run. No luck so far.

Great entry flight stick
Definitely works for my purposes on War Thunder. Programming custom button sets has a learning curve, but after you find your favorite layouts, this thing can be a deadly tool. For average flight, it's absolutely adequate.
