There were a lot of very tiny pieces, the 1 dot type and single row pieces. I really wanted the larger blocks so my 4 year old grandson could build houses etc. However all the pieces were clean and like new.

I actually haven't given the set to my grandson yet. He is turning 3 in a couple of weeks and I bought this for him not realizing that it contained so many teeny tinny pieces I think I am going to have to wait for his 4th birthday to give it to him. He still likes to put things in his mouth and I am afraid with all the small pieces he could choke. They are nice and the only reason only 4 stars is because I haven't used them yet.

As I have noticed when buying most mixed sets of legos whether it be blocks, see through, or completely random. It's always mostly small pieces. There are alot of pieces that we will never use close to the amount we have for what ever we build. The idea of blocks is just that. There were lots and lots of flat single and double pieces. Could have done with out the flat ones entirely. Flat isn't block, to me anyway.

I am not great understanding measurements and quantity/volume, but I was surprised at the small package of small Lego pieces I received.i could kick myself as I sold a FULL gallon zip lock bag of nice size Lego blocks at a garage sale for $20.00, which I'm now trying to replace for my therapy practice. This bag was really not worth the price in my opinion, though there's nothing wrong with the quality and they do seem to be clean as advertised.
