Milwaukee headlamps are great - very high quality and the batteries can either be recharged in the light or they can be charged externally while you replace the battery in the lught. Having a second battery is a must IIMO so you can continually use the light. This light can be worn on a hardhat or it can be worn on your head. The light unit is very small on the front and has two control buttons on top of the light unit to set the intesity and turn it on/off. The only potential issue with this light is the battery part is on the very back of the strap, so if you are wearing this on your head, your head will be resting on that battery. Tjhe previous model has the battery and light as a single unti. That one allows you to lay on the back of your head to see for something ;olke under a sink, but the light/battery uit is much heavier which forces you to have the strap held much tigher if you are not wearing a helmet. This model also has an over the head strap to help with anything sliding down. Once you have this light you will find so many ises for it that you had not originally intended. If you work your headlamp this way, then this headlamp will work for you. NO headlamp blasts 600 lumens for a 10hr day. This one has 4 modes. Its durable, recharges quicker than ANY other, and holds its charge for weeks. Also, you can charge it ANY time you want, even if its not dead, without harming the red lithium battery. What else could you ask from a headlamp. I have 2 fully charged, and swap during the day, if im really working dark. I've only had to change out twice, because i was running on high output for a long amount of time. Don't let anyone say this headlamp is bad, because id have to say their headlamp is bad...lol

The main detraction from using a work headlamp has always been battery waste. Milwaukee’s four modes on a rechargeable LED unit not only gives me the option to use all day at work, but also the longevity to take this into the woods for a week. How much $ in yesteryear’s batteries to do that??

A good bright area light lighter on your forehead than the prior model , doesn't get so hot it cooks your forehead but does have the battery pal in the back which is not comfortable to lay your head on if under a car, house, or anything else. Does not have a spot light setting so doesn't shine the coons eyes in the tree but great width for work
