This was my first ever LEGO build, not sure what I was waiting for. I LOVED my time spent doing this, and only allowed an hour or so at a time doing it so as to prolong the experience. Very therapeutic. The roof assembly was tricky, but once I got through the first one, the other two went well. The detail is wonderful on this Gingerbread House. Now I can’t wait for the lights to arrive which will make this adorable build a great holiday decoration I will enjoy for years
Gingerbread house took about 7 hours for adult LEGO enthusiast to complete. It goes together as you expect Legos to do. It’s not gigantic but comes in at a perfect under the tree size of 8 in wide 5 inch deep and 8 inch tall. I got a white strand of petite Christmas lights and double sided mounting tape and tacked the “lights” in the windows and on the eaves and it looks great under my tree
As I bought it after Christmas, really don't have time to keep it displayed, until the end of this year. Some of the good was no really repetitive building, but was also bad, taking longer to construct it. The figures were all a plus, as for the baby gingerbread, was a just a cookie sheet.
My biggest reason for not giving a better review is because it did NOT come in a box NOT is a real lego. This was for my daughter for christmas and it was really hard to sell the excitement she has built for two years of wanting this particular lego in a bag of little bags. It was a shame and should not have been sold that way. It is not the real lego set either. This is the kit that comes from China most likely and is much harder to put together. We are happy to have the opportunity to still build it and it did arrive before christmas but other than that it a sad example of being misrepresented.
