I saw the Pixies when the played in St. Paul during that tour and was hoping to re-live some of that experience as it was a great show. Unfortunately I was a little disappointed by the Dvd. The Dvd seemed to skip around a lot from venue to venue and not in keeping with the rhythm of the music. Also there was a lot of open air footage and I always thought the Pixies as a Dark smokey venue type of band. One of the high points of the show I saw was their cover of the Jesus and Mary Chains "Head on", which was shockingly absent from the Dvd. I guess it is not fair to compare this to an actual live concert and if you have not seen them live you may really like this but a lot of the between song banter is missing along with the possibility of Frank Black Sweating on you or Kim Deal blowing smoke into your face and it just seemed a little diappointing.Read full review
