I'm going to say a lot of very positive things in a moment, so let's just get the negative out of the way first: This is a plastic and thin-wall aluminum tripod that will not take more than one really hard blow or heavy everyday use. If you need a hard-wearing daily use or a studio pro-grade tripod to deal with grabby kids and clumsy models, this isn't what you want. Having said that, let's talk about what the 1250s have to offer. What we have here is a super lightweight reliable tool for both the amateur and serious photographer. A Pro-grade, flyweight tripod that features a 3 way fluid pan head with bubble level, an elevated center column featuring a brace and lock, locking 3 section channel aluminum legs, rubber feet, and a quick release mount. You only need to set this tripod up once to capture everything. A three-way adjustable head lets you pan/tilt to point the camera in any direction. The legs extend 50 inches, so you don't have to crouch down and be uncomfortable while you shoot. A built-in bubble level makes it easy to adjust, and the rubber feet let the tripod sit stably on any surface. It has a thin but well made stow bag, and this is now my go-to tripod when I have to hump gear anywhere, because it weighs almost nothing and lets me take great pics. If you need a first tripod or have to carry camera gear on foot, you will have nothing but good things to say about the 1250, and the price is right.Read full review
Purchased for use as a base for my portable loop HF ham radio antenna. It is light, fits my pack well, and does what I need it to do. It did arrive damaged, one of the legs had pulled free from its top mount, and a few of the struts were bent. For the price, I’m OK with it, but would definitely not recommend this for photographic work. I don’t think I would trust it with any of my cameras, let alone expect a steady shot.

A quality tripod for a very good price. I found it very easy to adjust to any type of setting to get the camera in a level and stable setting. While it feels light weight it is built very well, I expect it to hold up for a very long time. with proper care should last a long time.
I was looking for a light weight tripod for hiking and that is exactly what this tripod is. The last leg extension is too flimsy to use but I do not need it and it adds strength to the third section. This is a very good hiking tripod, if you are looking for something sturdy look elsewhere. It does what I bought it for and if you are looking for a hiking tripod, this one is a good choice at a good price.

My Camera: Canon EOS 1-v I like the tripod but it is very flimsy and light. It is easy to tip over if you have the tripod set to the tallest setting. If you want to buy this with the remote bundle included do not bother. The remote claims it is parable to Canon model EOS 1-v but the remote I have doesnt work. I've looked for remote pairing videos to help me set up but it doesnt work.
