Lens enhancer
Great value purchase for your camera bag to extend your reach. Usually need to focus manually, but depending on the lens to which it is attached, AF will work in bright conditions. Other settings are taken care of by the camera while using this teleconverter.

At first I'm skeptical to buy this item considering he lower price of Nikon tc20e-2; but after buying Kenko teleplus 2x dgx 300 pro & tested on Nikon d800e/810 using 300mm AF-I 2.8 it produces superb images on all apertures Only limitation is when I used it on 300mm f/4; still autofocus but the focus points are limited, but despite of this still produces good images I highly recommend this tc & the price is well worth keeping

Its OK but not very great
I tried this with my Nikon 80-200 2.8 and aperture stops down to 5.6. This is acceptable but I found huge difference of sharpness during day time compared to f5.6 image taken directly by the lens. I don't recommend this teleconverter unless you are desperate to go for 2x optical zoom.

IQ and contrast loss is minimal
As expected some loss in image quality and contrast occurs in this TC, as occurs in all TCs. The better question is "Are the losses acceptable?" In my opinion, yes. Many factors can affect image quality: Hand held or tripod, use of lens shade or not, using a quality UV filter or a cheepo, does the camera need exposure correction set? Just to mention a few. I can recommend this TC.
