Excellent movie/dvd - audio/visual, story/plot, acting, fight action. Period movie - 20 years or so prior to the French Revolution. A lot of very good fighting action/scenes by main stars in the roles of Chevalier Sir Gregoire de Fronsec & his Iroquois Mohawk blood brother, Mani, from New France in Canada. Mani is played by martial art actor, Mark Dacascos. I watched this movie many times, French & English Versions, in French w/ English subtitling; it also has the dubbed English if you want. To understand the plot/story, the way they spoke & the way it was back in those times, it is best to watch the movie more than once. It's an interesting movie w/ a romance between de Fronsec & Marianne, the daughter of a Count. A happy ending for them. Unfortunately, Mani dies when he was shot in the back, by Jean Francois, Marianne's "sick-minded" brother. There is also Thomas, a Marquis, and very good friend of de Fronsec & Mani - he is the one relating the story of what happened Read full review
