The design of the 9900 is perfect and rivals the build of an iPhone, however, it just simply is too old to use. First off, your carrier must support Blackberry Internet Service in order to use any feature you need including data over 4G and push email. If you are planning on using a regular data plan, this phone will only function to make phone calls. Second, most of the apps are now "dead apps," meaning that they are no longer supported by BB or authorized to interact with Gmail, etc. there are workarounds I found online, but after a while I got tired of trying to make this phone work as any other current smartphone would. The web browser feels ancient and won't load any Google mainstays such as Maps. Last, ATT had no interest in trying to make my current plan "fit" into the BB model. This made me realize that there is a reason no one uses BB as a regular phone, everything has to go through BB servers to work and carriers aren't interested in making this operational. I have for some time owned both Blackberries (for work) and iPhones (personal). I used to own a Blackberry Curve which I really liked, very robust phone. The Bold is a better phone overall, much more functional and chic. I was hoping the new touch screen would be similar to the iPhone, which I love. Its good but it not as good as the iPhone. The screen occasionally freezes on me while using the internet browser. Although a real nice feature on this phone, the iPhone touchscreen does feel more responsive and is less forgiving. As a business phone I do however prefer the Bold over the iPhone as it has an excellent keyboard, which is much more functional than the iPhone digital keyboard. Writing emails is a breeze on the Bold. So all in all its a really good phone.
I am a Blackberry fan and I bought it in order to replace my BB bold 9700. I like the phone cause it has the feature of touch and type. As a phone it is a very practicle one and it is easy to use. There are though a few drawbacks. The battery life is dissapointing since if you are using the 3G, you must recharge it twice a day or carry a charged extra battery with you. I also faced problems with the firmware and had to reinstall it from the beginning on. There is also an issue with the convinient key on the right side. It can be pushed very easy and whenever you grab the phone in order to answer or to dial a phone number, you turn the camera on. I think, I would buy the phone again cause the advantages are more than the disadvantages.

I come to buy this phone as I was looking to buy a smart phone. I heard about Blackberry before so I wanted to try and see how does it work. I like it it is so good, and I'm about to buy another one for my partner, so please i request the seller to send me a review of the same other products if at all he/she have it. However, the battery life is not so long, i don't know it is because is not a new phone or it might be the same even for a new cell phone, although the phone is just like new. Above all, i really advise others to try using this type of mobile phone, though I'm still learning other features and functions.
I purchased this product to be used as a T-Mobile Prepaid device, I ordered the SIM Card from T-Mobile, popped it in and there it was, working awesome. As well, in some places it says this phone doesn't have 4G, but at times my device would display 4G in the top right corner. Not sure why, but it did. Anyways, great device for those looking for a used Blackberry and just needing a general Prepaid device.
It's a wonderful phone! It's really very functional. You have to have plenty of time to explore all it's functions. Each day I find it even more suitable. However I can't understand why it does not have the radio aPplication. It's also very easy to use. It's worth having it. The phone is manageable and the fact of having the size it has it makes the phone smarter than other phones.The video and picture applications are of the highest quality one would desire.
After buying this phone i found out that there was no internet browser on it. so i had to take it to a technician to get a browser install. but apart from that its a great phone. Its fast easy to use.
The BB Bold came unlocked as promised and all accessories were brand new. I have pay-as-you-go SIM from T-mobile. I charged it first which only took a few hours. The interface is intuitive and easy to use and a wizard will guide you through any setup (like Bluetooth syncing with my car). Battery life seems good, hardly depleted since yesterday morning. I wanted to copy my contacts from old BB to new. I took it to the T-Mobile store at Mall of Georgia, they did it in less than a minute. My 300+ phone contacts were on my new BB. I switched out the SIM and I was in business. I asked about the price of a new unlocked phone like this one and it was upwards of $550+ so at $337 I got a deal! Very happy with my eBay phone!
