Nice tablet at a very affordable price. What I like.. It's fast with a nice screen Touch screen works great Touch keyboard is easy to work Android interface is predictable and familiar Connects quickly and surfs websites well Adobe reader download allows you to use device as a pdf signing solution with a stylus or finger. Flash Player can be downloaded but not approved by Adobe. This allows you to play Amazon Prime video content and ? Netflix this I didn't try. Lots of inexpensive accessories like optional keyboard, Dock HDMI charging Dock, Composite video adapter cords and the usual cases & screen protectors What I don't like... Google system not playing with other companies software Lack of Flash Player support Android incompatability with some everyday websites Why can't all these companies like google get along so the consumer doesn't suffer?Read full review
I purchased this Galaxy Tab on eBay and it arrived in very nice condition. I have had other tablets prior to this one, but this was my first Android. As such, I had to take it for a spin to learn it's features. I found the operating system (Gingerbread) to be very intuitive and stable. One thing that I noticed right away was the excellent selection of included applications, some of which you can use without being connected to WiFi--One of these is a great GPS navigational system. It's free to use without connecting to Verizon, and due to the size of the unit, it works very nicely in your car! As far as web browsing, it is so nice to be able to use Adobe Flash without restrictions, and there are many other goodies to be found as well. I highly recommend it. The only complaints that I have about it would be related to the touch screen itself in some applications... it sometimes doesn't get focus like it should on a link in a web page for example, even when your finger is right on top of it. With some practice, I'm sure it could be overcome (basically, you get used to it!) but there is some room for improvement there. Finally, it is a solidly built unit that seems very rugged for what it is; I don't recommend giving it a drop test, but it will definitely match the quality of the other brands out there competing against it. In fact, it's style, size and robust design are some of it's highlights. Definitely worth checking out and it' at least a couple hundred dollars less than an entry level iPad.Read full review
From the little that I have used my Galaxy Tab I really like it. It is fast and smooth. Beautiful sharp screen. I looks like a huge android phone. It is a bit on the heavy side when holding it for a long period of time but a stand would take care of that. Some Galaxy tabs have had issues connecting with wifi and it is a problem that Samsung will not admit but there are hundreds of forums about the issue on the web. It is a nice size to be portable and to keep next to your bed at night. The battery life was great but it also takes forever to fully charge it. Every app that I installed from the market seemed to work well with it. If it were not for the wifi issue (which I am sure Samsung will fix) I would give it a 5 star rating. The price is pretty reasonable for a quality tab. I have not used other tablets to be able to compare them.Read full review
The tablet is aesthetically attractive. I just needed a tablet to do the basics, read books, news articles. My 10 year old already had a newer/pricier Samsung so I had my expectations. This is nice looking but heavier and thicker than my daughters Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0. This purchase did not come with the wall plug adapter and surprisingly does not charge when connected to a computer. It also does not charge when connected to generic car chargers. My daughters wall adapter works with it. Oddly enough her Samsung will charge while connected to ANY port or plug. The battery life is average. I noticed that a particular GPS app runs the unit rather hot. The unit is locked to the Verizon network and does not have an external sim card slot so unlocking is pointless. I enjoy it and if I need a more complicated machine I simply borrow my daughters tablet.Read full review
Though I have not received the item yet, I have read the reviews and asked couple of my friends who got it about the product. They all agreed it is a good one. The size is realy convenient to carry around. The screen resolution is better and the touch screen is responsive. I bought this ,mainly to mount it on my car and use it as a navigator or a video player. It has a calling facility too.So for that purpose this is ideal than a big 10" tablet. I believe in the 7" tablet segment , this is the best till now!
