  • Small, quiet, affordable

I was looking for a back up to my homebrew linear supply for my HF radio, but didn't want to pay hundreds of dollars for a backup. I ran my radio (Icom 7610) with both my linear homebrew and this switcher and looked at the spectrum scope on a couple if bands to see if I could see more noise. I was pleased to find out there was no obvious additional noise from this supply. I have not tested it at full rated output, and never plan to run it that hard, but for my 100W radio plus a few accessories it works great.

  • EXCELLENT POWER SUPPLY

Very nice power supply. I highly recommend getting one of these if you need an inexpensive, but very good power supply. Doesn't have an "onboard" meter, but I have ordered a DC volt meter to monitor the output voltage. Still isn't a "negative" aspect though, as it does seem to maintain the proper voltage as viewed with my DC/AC voltmeter. It does incorporate a "voltage output" adjustment screw so that you can adjust the output DC voltage if needed. It also has an "onboard" cooling fan that is VERY QUIET when running. This is a very professional piece of electronic hardware that is built like a tank!!!! GET ONE !!!! I really like mine !!!!

  • Great 120V Dedicated Power Supply

Built a mobile box for my UHF/VHF Radio (Yaesu FT-8900) when there's 120V available, otherwise using a 12V battery to power the radio if remote. The power supply is very smooth, no noise or interference, and holds the voltage over different loads (from 0.5 amps upwards to the peak amperage of 30. Fan noise is noticeable but not a distraction. Like the existing tapped threaded holes (M4 screws) to aid in mounting & securing the power supply in the EMP hardened ammo can. The warranty is as good as it gets - equal or better than many similar power supplies that cost nearly twice the amount. Plan to buy another power supply for another similar project for our local ARES group.

  • Good power supply

I run a cheap 2m radio that pushes 25w and a Yeasu FT-840. This little power supply will cruise right along with extended CQ's and stays cool to the touch. The fan is super quiet and pushes a lot of air. It does run constantly however. The only gripe I have and it's not really a problem the voltage adjuster is feather touch sensitive. A slight bump and it's a volt off. All in all you can't beat the price and I plan on buying more.

  • Excellent power supply.

Great product very happy with its proformance. I like their compact size and their stack ability for more amperage. "Highly recommended for linear amps ( box building ).

  • Perfect 30 Amp Power Supply

I purchased this same supply from this vendor 3 years ago and it has worked flawlessly to power amateur radio equipment. My only minor complaint was the cooling fan was a bit loud. Once the voltage was set, I never had to touch the supply again. So jump ahead 3 years and I decided to buy another (identical) 30 Amp supply, just to have a backup - plus the vendor noted new ones use a temperature controlled ball bearing fan and are quieter. Well he was absolutely correct - the new power supply is almost totally silent. The old (completely reliable) supply has now been relegated to backup status. Highly recommended. Easily set to 13.8 Volts (or whatever you wish +/- several volts) with an accessible potentiometer.

  • 2 thumbs up

been using it for 2 weeks now running a yaesu and a galaxy. it just keeps humming along. The noise from the fan isn't loud enough to bother me, I keep it on the floor under my desk. At some point I'll most likely change the power cord/switch so I don't have to reach down to turn it on.

  • Great product for the money!

Works actually better than I expected! The supply was shipped from the factory set at 12.1 volts output. At that voltage my amp was not outputting advertised wattage. I upped the voltage from the supply to 14.1 and the amp is operating at advertised wattage now. Adjusting the voltage is fairly easy just make sure you monitor it with a good voltammeter. Runs very cool with the built in fan.
