About this product

Product Information

It's "people simulation" on the GameCube as the most popular PC title in the history of the industry moves to the realm of console gaming. Perhaps the most obvious difference, as the game moves from computer monitors to television screens, is the new graphics engine. The Sims for the Cube is completely 3D. There are several other changes as well though, focused on making the game engaging and appropriate for console-style play, with a controller instead of a keyboard.

Unlike the gradated progression of PC Sims, the Nintendo GameCube version of the game offers level-based play, in which new objects and houses are earned by reaching certain "life's big moments" goals. New objects must be "unlocked," instead of being available (but unaffordable) from the start of the game. The Sims for GCN also offers new characters and objects not featured in the home computer version of the game or its many expansion packs.

  • Basic Sims game with fun nostalgia

The game is exactly how I remembered! It's not as good as The Sims Bustin' Out, but I have a lot of good memories playing this game. I used to have it for PS2. It's a very basic Sims game. The game came with the case and the little booklet, all in great condition. I'm very happy with the result.

  • Funky early 2000s vibes

I just love the nostalgia of this game and that it has a storyline option where the newer Sims games do not.

Item did not work properly until resurfaced. The camera was constantly spinning. Tested multiple controllers and multiple consoles. After resurfacing the spinning stopped. Tested and working means different things to different people I guess.

  • Nostalgic if a bit date

It's old, but very nostalgic. I enjoy the gameplay focused on objectives to unlock items for the "open ended" sims mode.

  • Good game but

The game is fun but the graphics are awful, but that is to be expected since it is from 2003.
