I know it will be hard to complete with my ASUS 13 in. I gave it 4 stars due to the length of battery. Was use going days with out charger. Poor SD Card Placement
It was inexpensive. I found that attractive naturally. But then I was very displeased. I found it unbelievable that the SD card didn't insert all the way - it stuck out at least 1/2 inch. Very easy to break. But more importantly, it could (probably would) dislodge during use. Very poor design. I sent it back. Got cheated out of the return shipping. Was hesitant to purchase this Chromebook thinking it might be slower that the 11" displays, but I was wrong. It is just as fast, if not faster than it's competitors within the same price range. The bluetooth pairs to my home theater system easily. What I like the most is the fact that it actually can replace a Windows based laptop/netbook. It has everything I need. From Google Doc's to cloud printing to my hp printer and saving all of my photos to Google Drive. Web browsing, checking my gmail or watching Netflix are all done seamlessly without any buffering. Long Battery life is probably its best trait. But is fast and easy to use. Bought this for my parents and its so easy for them to understand. File sharing to them is easy and i can take over the machine if needed. Instant boot times and large screen are a plus! If you haven't tried a chromebook, try one out! Nice for the price
So far the only issues I have is there is no Caps lock button but instead a search button in place of the caps lock. When googled to see how to set caps lock it does not consistently work. I love this!
I said that this wasn't lightweight but I need to clarify that this is a 15.6" screen and so for a thin laptop it is heavy but not unduly so. I have arthritis in my hands and I have a sleeve with handles that perfectly fits the computer so I can carry it. I had the 11.6 Samsung but this just blows that one out of the water. I have aging eyes so these tiny fonts that are popular on websites were difficult if not at times downright impossible to see on the 11.6 screen. At 15.6 I have med-small fonts that are sharp as a razor. They are black and I can see them all comfortably. This is a Manufacture Refurbish and I love it totally. The sound is great -- even better with headphones -- and images are just unbelievable. On this Acer Chromebook my Tumblr site is just gorgeous! I want to keep this Chromebook for a couple of years!
