    Save Time and Money

    I've learned the hard way that there are times when it's best to use "Original Equipment" parts. COP/coil over plugs are a good example. When a COP goes bad on your Ford (and they all do, eventually), spare yourself some grief and replace the bad COP with a genuine Motorcraft COP. This time, a rodent chewed the lead wires insulation, and they shorted out the COP. I fixed the wires and replaced the COP; now I'm good to go again. Aftermarket COPs mostly burn out much faster than OE, and they often throw codes before they burn out. Motorcraft COPs don't last forever; but they do work better and last longer than alternative COPs for use in FoMoCo vehicles.
