About this product

Product Information

This enhanced re-release of 2002's The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind features content catered to both familiar players of the role-playing series and those who missed out on the game during its initial run. For previous owners of the title, this Game of the Year version offers the full content found in both PC expansion packs, Tribunal and Bloodmoon. In addition, players can use existing saved characters in the two scenarios, both of which expand the world of Morrowind to include new locales, monsters, and equipment. Players will encounter goblins, bears, wolves, lich lords, spriggans, frost trolls, and more while exploring caves, forests, dungeons, and other new settings.

Tribunal lets players journey to the capital city of Mournhold and beyond, while Bloodmoon takes place in the arctic isle of Solstheim and allows players to become werewolves or to fight against them. Those who skipped Morrowind when it was first released should note the original game has been included in its entirety along with a few interface improvements. Players of both expansion games can expect an estimated 40 to 80 additional hours of gameplay depending on the number of side-quests undertaken, with the complete Morrowind experience offering well over 100 hours of open-ended play. The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind -- Game of the Year is a standalone purchase and does not require ownership of 2002's version.

  • My Morrowind

I've been playing this game since it came out, about 2003. My old CD was becoming scratched and I was afraid that eventually I wouldn't be able to play it. Every new character I made changed the game play just a little bit and I prefer to customize. Thankfully, with this new set I hope to be able to play another 12-13 years! I am 70 years old and love this game! I especially love the way the game book is laid out. So easy to find what you are looking for. This game and the set it came with is perfect!!

  • Massive and engaging

While this is an older game, the world of Morrowind is enormous and filled with adventure. The landscapes still look good today, although the character models have not aged as well. Understand that the combat system is based on a random roll system, which is very different from Oblivion and Skyrim. The key is understanding how to build your character, according to class to suit your play style. The pace is much slower than Oblivion or Skyrim, and fatigue plays a big role in success in combat. I have spent many hours with this game and only skimmed the surface. Most of the dialogue is written instead of spoken, and the inventory system is quite nice for PC users. Overall I'd say that if you have patience and really love the Elder Scrolls, there is a great deal of fun to be had. Not recommended for players who want instant gratification or need hand holding. Easy to get lost and lost in. A classic.

  • Outdated, yet Refreshing

Morrowind is a fantastic role playing game. If you've played Oblivion or Skyrim, you may feel compelled to pay this older title. Despite this, there are a few drawbacks. Morrowind uses the roll of a dice combat. Meaning: If you attack someone or something, there's a chance it will not hit the target, even if you're dead on. Not only that, but the combat mods to fix this problem have declined in numbers and quality over the years.

  • The Elder Scrolls is Life

Huge fan of everything The Elder Scrolls. Bought this GOTY edition after I found my old pc disk, without the expansions, and started playing it again. I highly recommend this game to anyone who has time to adventure and put effort into exploring a fantastic world full of vivid imagination.

  • Excellent additional content for a great game

The expansions have allowed me to use the original Morrowind game disk that I have to add a lot of new content.... I was somewhat disappointed when I found that this package did not come with the original game, even though I know it says 'Expansions only', but they do work well, and I feel it was a good purchase!!

  • Exactly what was on the pictures.

The box is in fair condition but overall I'm happy because its what I was looking for the big box elder scrolls 3 game to add to my collection.

  • Great game but a slight problem with one of the discs.

I am a huge fan of The Elder Scrolls games, and having a non-steam version of Morrowind is a must for me. However, the Tribunal disc that I received is very slightly warped, so it made my disc drive vibrate like crazy. I'm pretty sure the game still installed correctly, but I just wanted to mention that.

  • One of the best role plaing games ever made in my opinion

This is hands down one of the best role playing games if you ignore the dated mechanics. I have never played a game with such immersion possibilities. Every major town actually feels like a distinct and separate culture. There is no map based clickable fast travel. There is a main questline and you are told about it at the beginning and then that is it. Yes, movement, interface and combat are clunky. They were even when it was new. Yeah, the graphics are a bit dated now but we marveled at the water and such back then. The "dungeons" are pretty lifeless considering how beautiful and myst-like intriguing some of the dwemmer ruins are. If you are fine with very little voice over but hundreds of hours of text, what an amazing game.

  • Great game

This is an older elder scrolls game but there is a great story and fame mechanics at work. Be the best wizard in all the land. Craft your own spells or dont become the best Archer or warrior or all or none of them. It's a truly great game. Graphics are circa 2003 but it's a blast!!!
