Good replacement fingers
A little thicker than original but that just means they will last longer. Make sure to prefit the fingers sometimes they might be a hair long, not because the fingers are bad but the 60 to 70 year old reverse unit stampings where not accurate and consistent so a little fitting is necessary. American Flyer reverse unit upgrade
The new contact fingers with heavier guage copper fingers assure an improved electrical connection in the American Flyer GP-7 locomotive and other AF reverse units. The original contact fingers were of a lighter guage copper and bent more easily, affecting the electrical contact. Many times the unit would gradually open part of the circuit resulting in an inoperable motor, not really the fault of the motor.
