Not impressed!. Fender must really be getting greedy, since this is made in Tiawan not in the US. I have seen the same item on several sites and they are all the same with the same part number. It is difficult to turn. I had an alpha tone pot on my superstrat which worked much better, so I left it in place. This is supposed to be a authorized Fender replacement part. I did not take off the pickguard on my American strat, but hopefully it does not have these. CTS, Alpha and others are much better.

5500k Potentiometer from Fender.
I installed two of these Fender pots in a Slimline telecaster style guitar with Wilkinson Humbucker pickups and the volume and tone both sound great. The pots vary the sound nicely.

Good pot, good value.
I can't say anything bad about the pot. It's a bit stiff to turn as some have mentioned but it certainly isn't the stiffest turn I've felt in a pot. Otherwise it works fine. It has a brass shaft which I haven't seen before. I've only seen silver/zinc.

Can't go wrong using these pots
These are very good Pots, full size CTS is the best, the shaft is larger than some of the Chinese pots out there so you will need a knob with a 6mm shaft opening.
