Press Good For Thick Tortillas, Handle Is A Little Loose

I've used tortilla presses since 1966. This aluminum model is by far the best, and makes the tortilla more even. I use 1 1/2 cup masa, 1/2 cup white flour, and exactly 1 4 cup warm water. Mix together, let rest inside plastic wrap for an hour so all powdered flour absorbs moisture. I use plastic wrap on press, doubled, so the tortilla easily come off. I then make the tortilla by using corn or canola oil heated to 470 degrees in a 3"layer of oil in a deep pan. I use tongs to turn over. MMMMVerified purchase: YesCondition: New
