On my '99 F250 Super Duty 4x4, I did experience a problem with Monroe's quality control! One of the inner metal sleeve's (inside the rubber gromet) was bent and distorted. The bolt could not fit back inside it. It had to be replaced. I was forced (with difficulty) to remove one from my old shock and press it into place on the new shock (requiring a specially made "taper" tool to stretch the rubber. This added about 1 1/2 hours to the installation. This saved a return to your company.
