  • The LXP-1 Is A Timeless Classic

I have owned several LXP-1's over the years since the late '80's. I always seem to get offered crazy money and sell them only to go buy another one because nothing else sounds like them. I have owned both the USA and Chinese models, the difference in sound is subtle and I can only tell the difference when I have one of each side by side. The USA model has a thicker sounding effect where as the Chinese model is clearer and more balanced to my ears. This one is the Chinese model and I think it sounds fantastic. I primarily use it on guitar stuff. Today I was messing around with it running through the effects loop of a Friedman IR-D and it was sensational. There's just not a bad sound in the LXP-1. I guess I have been using them for so long that this is how I think reverbs should sound.
