A near Clone of the original Super Nintendo controllers!
The keyword here, however, is 'near'. The controller works wonderfully and is compatible with all of my SNES and SNES clone machines, but I wouldn't call it an exact replica of the original. It lacks some weight and the buttons have slightly different densities and push back to the the original. If you are used to a Super Nintendo controller, I'm not going to say its jarring at first, but after a level or two at Super Mario World you can't tell the difference. No lag to be found and is fully compatible and working right out of the box on classic hardware, with the standard 7-Pin SNES controller connector. Works okay but definitely nowhere near as good as the original
I got this because I only had one controller for my SNES and the select button on it was only working intermittently. All the buttons work but they don't have the quality feel of the original and getting a down movement on the control pad requires a lot more force than other directions. I would probably return it if I had paid more for it but you get what you pay for and for $5 it's not a bad deal. Piece of junk
After seeing all of the good reviews for this product, I decided to purchase the controller. However, I was very disappointed after opening up the package and discovering that the keys were incredibly wobbly and a bit out of place. I decided that it was good enough. However, a few days later, I was about to play on the SNES and discovered that the controller was not connected to the wire anymore.
