  • Well Built, High Quality Laptop

Refurbed HP ZBook 15 G3 is Well Built, High Quality Laptop, with much higher build and easier to maintain that consumer grade laptops. My laptop arrived in great condition and hard to differentiate from new, other than lack of battery (which seller disclosed). I am a big fan of HP "Z" line of computers, with a loaded Z840 being my everyday machine. This is my 2nd ZBook, having used a refurb ZBook 15 G2 for 3 years. The G3 is a noticeable improvement on the G2: having 2x MVMe SSD slots of full 2280 size vs. G2 having only one for the smaller 2260 size, using DDR4 RAM vs. DDR3, running MUCH cooler, and svelte/lighter. The only thing that G3 gives up to G2 is the lack of DVD drive.

  • Z-book 5 Stars, Microsoft 0 Stars or less

Z-Book is excellent in every way as a laptop. With 32 GB memory and i7 processer and SSD, performance of this machine is as good as it gets. Single thing I find a bit inconvenient is an inability to change any setting in BIOS or operating system / power settings that allows for USB wakeup from sleep. Other owners note this problem. and many forum type comments offer useless solutions which all fail. I'm sure it's a security protection issue which could actually be is good, but it's inconvenient. Single true annoying issue is recent discovery that Microsoft says this powerhouse is unsuitable for Windows 11 upgrade. Only a fool would let this machine go to move to Windows 11, unless perhaps Windows 11 includes software to convert your laptop into some sort of massage device. I seldom use it on battery power, so I can't comment about battery life.
