Great Product. Works as Advertised.
So, we got this in the mail today. Took about an hour to get everything hooked up. Hardest part was getting the grip and the throttle onto the handle bars. It was extremely tight. Had to use a hammer and some WD-40 to force them on. Other than that, everything snapped together and my son was off and running. He's thrilled with the variable speed throttle, and the battery charge indicators. Now on to a funny story. When i first unpacked the controller, i was comparing it to the old controller and notice there were two single red wires missing. I was about to call up, and suggest they sent me the wrong controller. My son (12 years old) was asking me what those connected to. I said they connect to the power switch on the bottom. He goes, oh, we don't need that anymore, cuz we have the key which turns it on and off. Haha, 12 year old debugging my stupidity.

Worth the money
Razor makes a great scooter but for some reason they only offer a throttle that is either on or off. The scooter is nice but you don't always want to go full speed. I saw a few different model Throttles available but decided to go with this one. This Throttle not only allows you to easily control your speed but it also lets you know how much battery life is left. Before having this Throttle you would have to guess how much time you had left but now it lets you know when the battery is going low. There is only one improvement I would like to see and that is instructions, there are none. That being said, it is simple installing this. All you have to do is: 1. Take off the running board. 2. Disconnect all the connections that go into the controller (the silver box) and on off switch (if you got the key ignition which I would suggest, great feature) 3. Remove the existing Throttle (using a Allen wrench to loosen the throttle) and slide the new Throttle on. When you remove the Throttle cable and install the new one, there is a split gasket that will allow you to easily remove the old cable and run the new one through it. 4. Connect all the wires to the new controller box (all the connectors are the same as the original so there is no guess work). 5. Put the running board back on and you are ready to go. This only takes 20 minutes to do the entire install and is pretty easy. I would buy this product again.

Very Good product/Value
Was a very tight fit and no instructions included (only online) but worked well. A little creative imagination is useful to help with re routing of the throttle cable. Will need Nylon Ties (not included). Fit is a bit of a struggle with the batteries and cables. Can not use mounting screw or brackets. I put some rubber inner tube on top of everything so when I closed the hood nothing would rattle. It was good idea. The manufacturer (Razor) should be shamed for selling something like this (Throttle totally on or off). This Scooter E300 should come stock with this new variable speed setup.

GREAT PRODUCT & Helpful People
This Throttle & Control Box solved all my problems with my Razor E300 scooter. This variable speed throttle replaces the poorly designed original one on my scooter. Makes it easier to ride. Get the model with the key and eliminate the on/off switch that I forget to turn off after every use. The control box plugs in using existing plugs making it an easy install. The people at Fast Scooter answer questions I had in a professional and helpful manner. Best money you will ever spend on repairing your scooter and making it safer.

Safe and Easy Install!
Absolutely a must have for your younger children to be able to safely ride and control throttle without excessive acceleration! I put a magic marker line on where the dial was installed so that my child knows exactly where to turn it to drive it safely, while my older child can just turn it up four. Eid. Very easy to install and even easier to use!

Only as good as its' weakest link
The throttle is not a throttle, it is an on and off switch. Its' full power or no power, so it is excessively jerky to ride, impossible to ride comfortably along with someone on a bicycle I have to just jerk along and coast jerk coast jerk coast. Penny wise and pound foolish, they probably could have added a veritable speed throttle for another $5 in production costs. This foolish oversight ruined an otherwise quality product.

Fantastic Upgrade
Stock E300 with these items. Safer with the great looking hand grips with the variable throttle control & keylock.. Speed has increased with no other modifications. Torque has increased as well. It now climbs hills it never could before. I tested this with both my son and myself riding on the scooter at the same time. A very noticeable increase in performance, usability and safety.

Perfect upgrade for E300 scooter.
This kit is a must have for the razor electric scooter owner. the variable throttle is useful for all riding situations. This kit's controller box is rated for more watts compared to the stock controller box, thus giving the batteries and motor more usability and power. I am satisfied that this kit is of good quality. The throttle and control box do not appear to be waterproof, which depending on where you live could be an issue, but besides that it's great.
