Fair unit with nice specs, plenty of power. I was drawn to purchase it by proven amp specs, USB and flac support. My two huge issues- The Sony app is terrible, cant even back out of a USB album ( at least its not obvious at all if it is possible ). Second, USB support is pretty bad- requires old fat32 formatting, has trouble with flac files, skips, even stops and locks the unit up. Cant read lots of mp3 files which was surprising. Found navigating usb with the unit itself worked better than the app sadly. Some directories were unreadable and then you had to pull the USB to reset it, sometimes required to turn it off and on again. Bluetooth was not straightforward to connect but does work well once set. Advanced audio options are sadly limited compared to the old Alpine unit i replaced. EQ tuning only available on the app. It acts and feels like a $30 radio otherwise with exception of the way better internal amp that pushes a dyno rated 53watts rms per channel and 5v pre amp outs- the only selling points left in my opinion. If Sony fixes the app, that would solve some issues. Better file compatibility is the other need. If you just want Bluetooth this unit would probably be fine but don't buy for USB support.
