  • End of the Line

Tracks that end in a terminal usually have bumpers and, in sidings, rail-stops or, once again, bumpers. In a commercial area in Los Angeles, a couple of sidings had an old tie- another just a pile of rocks and dirt!! I searched around on line and saw a variety, many like the prototypes. Some were like those we had on our very first toy railroad. I like the Hayes' bumper as it is the most frequently seen in industrial situations. I ordered a set of rail-stops and a package of two already assembled Hayes'(which need insulated track joiners AND significant weathering.) Again. on line, I saw the bumpers from Peco and put in my order. If you enjoy gluing small parts together and then, carefully painting them to look rusty and weathered, the pair will keep you busy for a while. Once finished, they will look great at the end of a spur or a factory siding. I believe that incorporating accurate detail in a layout will bring more realism.

  • A Nice Kit

Very prototypical product, low cost, easy to assemble and install on the track and in my opinion, it looks good. On the down side, You need to operate your trains with care and not bump this thing too hard as it is strong and can damage your rolling stock.

  • Nice Product

These bumpers are very easy to put together and look terrific. I've tried other brands but these are the easiest to build. Just be careful when you build them that the pads are oriented correctly...

  • Realistic and observed in the real world

The most realistic model I’ve witnessed on the market. Not a toy. This is a real model and adds realism to my layout.
