Purpose built.
This laptop is well built. Specs are more than adequate for everyday use/work. While it's not the most powerful machine, it is fast, reliable and has a great battery life. With light use, mostly Microsoft office and browsing I was able to get about 6 hours. The display is bright and vibrant, no noticeable discomfort. The windows hello is fast and snappy, it may require a few set ups to ensure accuracy in low light environments. The hinges are sturdy and holds the laptop in any angle its placed in. The switch between desktop and tablet mode is fluid. Almost no pause depending on what task are running. The fan ramps up especially if the airflow is constricted. The speakers are very good for this style of laptops,not the best, but it's adequate for most uses. Having both cortana and Alexa can be a bit confusing,but it's a good option. Overall I would recommend this laptop to any student or office worker. It can even run some game titles. If I had to buy it again, I would. Especially if it's on sales, as I picked it up for $650 from bestbuy.
