Released in 2003, Armored Core 3: Silent Line is a mecha action game and expansion to Armored Core 3. Rated T for Teen by the ESRB due to violence, this Sony PlayStation 2 video game is set in a post-apocalyptic world where the Earth Government and Corporations battle for supremacy. The majority of humanity lives beneath the Earth’s surface but is slowly returning to the surface as more territory is declared safe. However, one area, dubbed the “Silent Line,” remains a mystery at the start of this mecha action game. Players assume the role of a reconnaissance “Raven” and are sent to discover the mystery of the Silent Line, where they are faced with a variety of enemies and increasingly challenging battles. Armored Core 3: Silent Line is published by Agetec and developed by From Software. This Sony PlayStation 2 video game offers a familiar gameplay style found in previous installments of the Armored Core series. However, Armored Core 3: Silent Line offers new features as well, including “clone weapons” that are slightly modified versions of a player’s existing weaponry.
