This drive was purchased to replace a failing 5400RPM drive in a netbook that was brought to me for repair. I used Acronis True Image 18 to transfer the files from the old disk to the new one. Keeping the original partitions in place (Mfg Factory Partition was usable). I checked the new disk for function and errors with HD Tune. After saving the client files (to another disk) and replacing the OS with the factory image on the disk (Factory Partition) everything worked again. At the same time I replaced the hard drive the memory was upgraded from 1Gb to 2Gb to keep the OS from constantly writing to the hard drive for lack of memory (commonly called disk thrashing). I did find an old version of a Norton security package installed that had to be removed, but more notable was the factory installed "Intel Rapid Start Technology". You may want to look this one up on Intel's website. It is a software raid solution! In a netbook? In the fine print very near the bottom of the description, Intel tells you that it may be used on one drive, but is not recommended. When I removed this software the machine was noticeably faster. On the manufactures website this software is listed as an AHCI Driver. This HDD does exactly what it is supposed to do; work fast, quietly and reliably. Very easy to format. The 320 GB size is great, allowing plenty of storage space. Highly recommed.

The hdd worked fine very good speed and the drive was sold as discribed.. Toshiba 7200 rpm drtive is fast and the support is excelient, this product was for a lap top build ,installed it in a toughbook laptop.Had a Western digital hdd in this laptop and will not pass the tests put on the drive.
