Perfect! I had hardly finished clicking "Buy It Now" when I received shipping-notification ... the seller is *by far* the fastest I've had the pleasure of buying from. The quality is fantastic ... the font / lines / outside are clean indeed. Very close inspection reveals the cutter milling passes, but from every normal viewing distance farther than "sniffing the mic" this flag appears perfect. Like some others, I may prefer to spend 5x on a custom metal mic-flag, but that's not an option. This plastic mic flag is available, very nicely priced, well-made, and an awesome addition to any hamshack. My colour choice was intended to get me near to Heathkit colours, because my D-104 is intended for use with an HW-101.

Microphone Callsign Flag
This is an eye-getting addition to my D-104. It is of great quality and fits the microphone very well. The only thing I would like to see different is the 0 for the 10th call district callsigns. I would like to see the 0 narrower and the slash slightly more upright. All in all, a great item.

The D104 an American icon
D104's are an American icon. They don't make them like this anymore. I generally rebuild all of them when I get them, so that they work as they did in the 1970's. But, honestly, it is quite rare that I get a D104 these days that doesn't need some work. But when they are restored, they are an awesome mic. I am sure if these were still in production, they would go for around $300. So many were made though that it keeps the price point pretty low. Because as I said, most are in fairly rough shape electronically.

Better than metal.
I thought it would be plastic, but it looked so much like polished brass that I reviewed it saying it was metal, but upon a closer look it is, in fact plastic. An hour later the D-104 got knocked off the desk, I sure am glad it's not metal, because it would have been a bent-up mess, but the plastic didn't even get scratched or cracked. Great looking little bit of jewelry for your station.

If you are into Ham Radio or into radio history this is a great item to add to your collection. Everyone that sees it ask where I got it and really like it even those not in the hobby.
