This is a great little printer for fast label. We use mostly USPS labels, so I cant contribute to FedEx, UPS, or other shipper options. The printer generally lasts about 2yrs until the labels start not to print as crisp and wont scan at USPS anymore. We have tried using cleaning cards throughout use, which has virtually no cleaning effect. We are sure there are people that can fix the crispness as we resell them after couple of years and get about 50% of what we paid. We cant complain about that. If you plan to resell it, make sure to print one label so the buyer can see the quality of the used device. We use it a lot though, thousands of labels a year. Often when there are updates from Java, Windows, etc. We have had some driver issues, which we can usually fix in settings. Might need some moderate knowledge of windows to fix it. It gets annoying when this happens. Usually on Mondays when we are most busy. I have not yet found a way to also print invoices on the printer. So you will still need a regular printer for your invoices, also a small hassle as you need to change printer type on each invoice you print or you end up with lots of gibberish on the Turbo. Otherwise its been great. Because of some of the issues listed above we cant give it 5 stars. There is probably ways to fix those issues, but need very good understanding of computers and printer set up. This review is just based on our personal experience.Read full review

. . .I wish that the front throat plate was a bit easier to remove and reattach. I bought a roll of 1"x1" labels that claimed to be Dymo compatible but jam up the machine too often. (Not all label ends are flush against the waxed paper and get caught coming through.) So, I have to take that plate off to get the jam cleared. It is not QUITE plug & play; the machine's driver is onboard but I had to download the label design software from Dymo, easy enough. It installed quickly and I was up & running within a few minutes. I have the Dymo 450 Turbo and it's greasy fast: one label will print in about a second. The use of a bold font on these small labels was required to read what's written on them but they print out crisply. I can definitely see myself buying a multi-roll Dymo at some point so I can also print shipping labels. But for now, the 450 Turbo has been a big help to me as I slog through tagging hundreds of inventory items.Read full review

I work with lots of files, and I have terrible handwriting, so the answer to marking my file folders was purchasing a label printer. I found several Dymo 450’s on eBay and selected this one because it looked clean and complete and the price was right. I discovered the Dymo software is flexible to produce more fonts and sizes that I had anticipated, and I can purchase many different size labels to use with the printer. Why is it not a 5 star? I was hoping for a bluetooth model, and this one must use a USB connection. Otherwise I am very happy with my purchase.

Do you want crisp, professional, even artistic mailing labels? I love this device! I have multiple label sizes and designs - with my personal and business return addresses, and with and without logo/icons graphics. It is wonderful to print directly from my Outlook contacts list - and to be able to select exactly the label design that I want for that particular envelope - and print it in literally seconds. I have hand printed my last envelope - ever!

This is my fourth LabelWriter 450 turbo (first twin-label one), and all are working great. I have one at home that I use occasionally, we have two at our office/shop that we use constantly, and another (the twin-turbo model) in our "new" remote shop that's getting plenty of use, now, as well. Drivers were easy to install (MacOS, in my case, for all installations of mine) and the app is very straightforward - with provisions for lots of label types, sizes, and configurations (address, return-address, barcode, miscellaneous ident labels, etc.). The dual-label version is really only an advantage if you do a lot of label-size swapping, but comes in very handy in that case - saving figuring out where and how to store those partial rolls of different label sizes and types that you swap in and out. If you are a compulsive labeler (or have a real need to print legible, convenient, labels for bins, containers, products, or other items), it's a reasonable buy. Label rolls aren't terribly expensive, but aren't dirt-cheap, either - so be sure to consider what you really need before you stock up with a drawer full. The only real inherent drawback I've encountered is that the labels are thermally printed - so they will fade with time (and heat) and don't stand up to much wear unless you cover them with clear tape - so they aren't the greatest for permanent inventory labeling. Read the instructions and don't panic if you get a label jam (rare, but it can happen).Read full review

I have two different models of this printer, and I love them both. The print quickly and clearly. I can usually find good deals on the labels. It is easy to set up. Great product - you won't be disappointed.

Because of an aging operating system (Windows XP, now using Windows 7 Pro) I had to upgrade my Dymo Printer, What was taking me 20 minutes to accomplish, now takes couple minutes and performs well, Only difficulty I didn't have a driver and had to go online. That was a bit challenging and I can see where some people would have trouble. Start up time is a bit longer but once that over runs fine, I was able to use the labels I already had on hand. Very pleased with how it operates.

This little label printer is perfect for addressing mailings, printing postage, making labels for files...pretty much all office labeling needs. This is my third unit. I had two in my former office and this one is in my new office. I no longer would ever have an office without one. My only regret is that I didn't purchase a double unit; one for labels and the other for postage. I have to keep switching from one type of label stock to another to postage stock and back. That's why I had two in my former office. I'll likely purchase another one very soon. Switching back and forth is getting old already.

Product came as pictured; however the Install CD was so scratched it would not read to install, so we had to use the online download...not a big deal. After install and set up we discovered there were multiple labels stuck wrapped around the roller in the first compartment. It took some time, but was fixed and printer works well now. However, this was not disclosed by seller...good thing we are able to troubleshoot and fix on our own.

I received the used Dymo Printer parts and CD. After connecting the USB cable and downloading the software to my MacBook Pro the unit has yet to print. Is there anyone I can call for assistance? Thanks
