I am on my second set of batteries. The unit has found my position once in about 10 times of trying it. The first set of batteries ran down because I left it on a long time to find my position. It was left outside to ensure a clear view of the sky. It did not find a position. The seller did offer a refund, but that would involve, cost of shipping and extra effort on my part. I live in a rural area and need to drive everywhere. I have two other GPS (in the cars) that find my position. This unit might work well in some areas, I would test it first before buying. You can have mine if you pay shipping costs.
