About this product

Product Information

If you need a quality digital camera that offers functionality and features, then the Fujifilm X Series X-Pro1 16.3-MP digital camera could be for you. With its editing capabilities, you can take and edit pictures right on the camera. Use single autofocus, continuous autofocus, or manual focus with distance indicator during your shoot. You'll be amazed at the image quality. When used at both high ISO and low ISO levels, Fujifilm offers crisp photos. Frequent firmware updates keep your Fuji performing smoothly. White balance is automatic, so you can capture exactly what you see if you’re in a bright setting. This feature comes in handy if you’re underwater and want to capture the beauty of the sea without all the reflections. The different photography functions of this camera offer great variety, including motion panorama and film simulation. The Fujifilm X Series X-Pro1 paves the way for enhanced photographic creativity. The FUJINON XF lens featured was designed especially for the X-Pro1. This series promises enhanced resolution and light volume in image edge areas. It reduces chromatic aberration as well, so you won’t be seeing those funky purple fringes on the edges of your exceptional images. Featuring an all-glass aspherical lens and other elements, the lens is polished and treated with super EBC coating. When you hold the high-quality metal barrel housing the lens, you’ll feel your creativity firing up. The precision-machined 1/3-step aperture ring will satisfy you as you work to capture every scene. FUJIFILM has raised the curtain on an era of interchangeable lenses and unveiled a premium lineup of 3 single-focal length lenses. This Fujifilm X-Pro1 camera is a great choice for photographers who seek the peak of photographic excellence. Taking full advantage of the mirrorless design, the mount boasts a short flange back distance of 17.7 millimeters. The lens has a wider opening and deeper mounting. The results of these features include the reduction of back focus distance and high resolution that extends to the image edge areas. When a FUJINON XF lens is mounted, all its information is instantly communicated to the body of the camera. The components are then integrated into a seamless, responsive instrument that you can rely on when the creative mood strikes. The hybrid viewfinder of this X-Pro1 camera has evolved to meet the challenge of interchangeable lenses. You have the freedom to switch between an optical and electronic viewfinder. Magnification and frame size are automatically adjusted. Peer through the viewfinder with all your attention focused on the subject. This simple style of shooting will bring you back to the basic pleasure of photography. Every time you change the lens, a new world of beauty will be yours to hone in on through the viewfinder and capture. This camera is 5.5 inches wide, 1.7 inches deep, and 3.2 inches tall. It weighs a total of 15.8 ounces, which makes it light and easily transportable. The camera comes with a battery and charger, so you’ll have everything you need to capture all kinds of beautiful scenes for hours. You can update the firmware as opportunities become available.

  • An odd mixture of wonderful...and

If you have used a rangefinder in the past then this might be for you. If you have a good understanding of the fundamentals of photography, again it might be a camera for you. If your more interested in image quality than ease of use, then this camera is truly amazing.... In my opinion it's not a camera for a newbie or those who shoot fast moving subjects. What it excels at is street and landscape shooting as well as general snapshots. I love my Xpro1...but would lend a friend a different camera if they forgot their's. I give the X-pro1 four stars for Image quality and build. It looses a star for auto focus and battery life. Although the auto focus has improved greatly with firmware updates over time....battery life is still poor. Recently I picked up an Fuji XE1 and if I had to do it all over again I'd buy the XE1 over the Xpro1. The same guts in a smaller more efficient package...with better focusing and the same image quality. Your mileage may differ....

  • Beautiful, capable, quiet.

This is a great camera now at a very good price. This example arrived in very good condition and quickly. I'm a Canon man, so I now need to learn and use the fuji x system, but my first examples are good, and image quality is super. This is a poor man's Lieca rangefinder, and in many ways a better camera, i.e. fuji tenges are superb, I recommend tha f2.0 50mm for starters on this body. It focuses very quickly. I love the silence of this camera, the size in my hands, and the feel of a rangefinder with modern digital capacity. Now, all I need to do is learn it and us it. It's a great value for someone wanting to get into the rangefinder either for street shooting or quiet portraiture.

  • The X-pro 1 is such an amazing camera!

Take this with a grain of salt of you want being that I'm kinda a "noob" photographer only been doing it for a year and a half or so but the X-pro 1 is my third camera and I fell so much in love with it. Super easy to pick up and use and learn. The menus are set up to flow so well! Plus not only does Fujifilm have some really amazing glass but you can use virtually any lens on this thing. Plus I fell in love with the perfect combination of old school and new. I love all the old film cameras and rangefinders but I'm just not a huge fan of film. One thing I can think of that does kinda suck about the X-pro 1 is if you're looking to do something like long exposure shots it's gonna be a lot harder. You can't get a remote shutter control for it. You have to buy an old school cable release that screws into the shutter button hole. I haven't acquired one yet but I'd like to. But the ergos of the X-pro 1 are just amazing specially combined with the Fuji 27mm f/2.8 its almost pocketable depending how big your pockets are. Example I wear sweatpants a lot(I'm lazy and like being comfortable) and it'll fit right in there. Once I bought the 27mm I pretty much don't leave my house without the X-pro 1 just in case. Hope this helps someone out there!

  • Great camera

I bought an X-Pro1 because I wanted to have a lighter camera bag than my current collection of Nikon iron. The camera gives remarkable photos used with either Leica M lenses (with an adapter) or native Fuji autofocus lenses. The colors are saturated and sharp, and to my eyes are superior to those I get with a Nikon D7000, which has a comparably sized sensor. Highly recommended!

  • Best Camera I Have Ever Owned - (Thanks Brother for Suggesting)

I am a Leica user most of my entire photographic life. Also Hasselblad, Rolleiflex, and Canon user. However the M2 Leica was my main weapon of choice for capturing photos. Of course, film was no longer an ideal medium for me and I toyed with the next best format, the M4/3 Lumix series of GX and GF cameras. My brother bought a "walk around camera", the Fujifilm X-Pro1 and he let me use it one night and I was blown away. This camera came so close to my expectations of an M series camera but better! This camera permits me to use my legacy lenses such as my 28mm Elmarit, 50mm Summicron, etc. I was also intrigued with Minolta Rokkor lenses, Fujinar lenses, Takumar lenses, etc. I shoot mostly legacy lenses and am quite happy with the results. I recommend if you have never shot with an optical viewfinder and you plan on using native lenses that you buy a companion book on the full utilization of the Fuji X-Pro1. If you have shot with an OVF system in the past, you will migrate nicely and quite intuitively to using the X-Pro1 camera and be quite happy with legacy lenses you may now own! Fuji supports this camera with firmware updates and are quite responsive on their customer support and website. Do it!

  • Professional photographer finds old-school digital gem

I first shot the X-Pro1 in 2012 when Fujifilm sent me one with the original lenses to play with. Even then I had a love/hate relationship with this camera. As someone who grew up with film and whose first camera was an Yashica GSN 35mm rangefinder the X-Pro1 was a joy to get in my hands. This is NOT a beginner's camera by any means. The focus is a bit slow - though the firmware update helps. The menus and combinations of functions can be confusing - until you get a grasp of creating your preferred set-up on controls and menus. From that point forward it is a joy to use! I run my fairly stripped down on controls and functions and options...I don't use the film simulation modes nor the auto-focus assist and/or the parallax correction features relying on my skill with rangefinders instead. Image quality is fantastic and the high-ISO files are superb - one of the main reasons I wanted this. Prices on this camera can't be beat either. I'll have the X-Pro1, 18mm and 18-55mm for under a grand. If you are a former rangefinder and film shooter and want that feel again in a digital format this is a great start! MattLitPhoto dot com

  • Excellent small camera

Great image quality, more flexibility than most cameras, and a nice compact package. The ability to use a wide variety of adapters opens up the possibility of using many excellent legacy lenses. My only quibble is its ergonomics. It is a bit of a learning curve if you have large hands- the controls are convenient and familiar to someone who has uses film cameras, but a bit cramped. An after market thumb grip is a great addition that eases usage.

  • Back to the Future!

The Fuji X-Pro 1 will bring on a feeling of nostalgia for those fortunate enough to remember the ease with which we used our Leica M models, and how beautifully they responded optically to the use of different film emulsions. This little camera just begs to be used on Manual setting but it will do the thinking for you better than most (I think "all") of its rivals. For one thing, one shouldn't be put off by its 16mp score in the pixel race. It will produce file sizes comparable to what my FX nikon will, and do it with better clarity and character (as a leica M would, incidentally. Yes, I would recommend this to a friend (but only on the condition that he/she use it properly!)

  • The original

Even though this is not new by any means, this 10 year old camera is very capable shooter. Beautifully designed and exquisitely built to last. The images rendered by its sensor are surprisingly film like… which further adds to the character in it’s image rendition.

  • A camera with a distinct personality

I started shooting with film and manual bodies. I like to use the X-Pro with manual focus and manual exposure out of long habit, therefore, and in that mode the camera is a real pleasure to use. It's the most enjoyable digital camera I've owned.
