  • Used Intel SSD

I needed xtra space to store data. An xtra hard drive could also come in handy if I one of our laptops crash. This seller responded to my bid very quickly. Drive was well- packed in a sealed anti-static envelope. The hard drive tests and works perfectly. If I need something else they are selling, I would not hesitate to buy from again.

  • Buy it only if dirt cheap and you can live with severe data loss

This is my opinion of the product, feel free to take it with a grain of salt... The short of it: below average product, containing good 25nm MLC NAND (thanks Micron) and a weird/sluggish/buggy controller (boo Intel). Don't buy unless is dirt cheap. The full Monty: the product launched around spring 2011, containing a weird, sluggish and buggy Intel made controller. This line ("320 series") is notorious for a power loss bug that leaves the drive in an unusable state, reducing the capacity to 8MB and a serial number of "BAD_CTX 0000013x". The only cheap option to recover the drive is to perform a "secure erase" (and lose all data). Or for those who can afford, spend a small fortune with "data surgeons". No amount of firmware updates could fix the problem (it's a hardware bug). To add insult to injury, the PCB contains a good amount of tantalum capacitors which were supposed to mitigate against this problem. This is a SATA II drive, but it cannot saturate this connection. One of my drives measured ~280MB/s (read) and ~ 173MB/s (write). No ideea about data retention. It's better than spinning rust, but not by much. Hardware review sites found that when near full, IOPS drop dramatically. TRIM works both under Linux and Windows. Don't buy unless dirt cheap or in a pinch.

  • Second hand Solid State Drive (SSD)

It’s a used SSD. SSDs don’t make noise. It is old. About 8 years old technology. It is good enough for the old computer I put it in. It should last much longer than the Mechanical Drive that it replaced, and work a little bit faster.

  • Nice update for older computers.

These worked great when swapping out with older systems. Used them to replace regular 160 gb drives in some older hp dc7900's Since the motherboard only supports sata 2 these worked like a charm and did not need the more expensive sata 3 drives. Noticeable improvement in performance and a good cheap way to squeeze a few more years out of older gear.

  • Intel SSD 320

This was a great, cheap upgrade for my Dell Latitude D630. The ssd installed very easily and even though it's older, it performs a lot better than the original mechanical drive.
