High quality 5-way switch for three pickup Fender style guitars
This is the guitar version of the original 5-way commercial switch that Fender patented for use in his guitars. The guitar version has only a single type of wiper installed, as opposed to a plethora of selectable wipers of the commercial switch, that is specifically for guitars, and is riveted instead of the bolted together commercial switch that allows that version to be dismantled for the installation of different wipers. The rivited specific wiper Fender Guitar 5-way switch allows the switch to be smaller in size than the commercial version. Much better for guitar switches so it can fit in a small route volume. This is a quality guitar switch for 3 pickup Fender-type guitars.

Simple enough
Purchased a nice Mexican Strat S1 SSH, just over a year ago. Switch was just smooth, no detent for the 5 positions, weird ! But since it was over 1 year ago, electronics weren't covered. So I just replaced the 5 way on it with this one myself, works great, genuine part. All good. (Oh, take a picture of the switch your replacing before disconnecting everything, helped me alot when soldering the new switch in !)

Awesome switch
The Fender or Oakes switch is the best you can get. Quality is top notch, and they will last for decades. The spacing of the mounting screws is the same as the switches on import guitars, so they will work on a Squire or an American Fender. If you are redoing your wiring, or replacing a worn out switch, this is the way to go.

Terrific upgraded switch to replace the lower quality switch they use in Indonesian models. You'll notice a big difference, just make sure to have your wires mapped before taking the old one out!
