First, the price is right. However, it did not work right out of the package. Once installed, the tailgate was locked and would not unlock. Two problems: The key could not be removed in the locked position. Resolved this by adjusting the position of the cylinder to allow the key to travel to the "fully" locked position. Had to modify the locking bar mechanism in a few places for proper operation. The bar would not travel far enough out of the way to allow the tailgate to open. Removed some of the stop block. Then made slight modifications to the rest of the mechanism for smooth operation. Took about a half an hour to figure out what was wrong and fix it. While looking at how it works I noticed it might be easy for someone in the know to use a homemade tool to overcome this lock. In the near future a pin will be added to limit motion of the bar in the opposite direction. If you do not want to take the time to modify an otherwise good idea, then you may want try something else. For me, I like puzzles.Read full review
