Another great 90mm Tamron
For the price it can't be beat. Each Tamron 90mm macro lens has been better than the previous model.... excellent job Tamron !!! If you don't need "vibration reduction", this is your lens. The images are sharp and clear. Similar models from the major camera makers cost hundreds more. So use that saving to develop those great pics you will take with this lens.

Excellent lens and seller
The only thing I don't like about the lens is the lack if image stabilization. Obviously it is available on the more expensive version, so I made that choice, but it'd sure make things easier. Other than that, I love the lens. Good build and super sharp images. I have no complaints from the seller. Good value.

Crisp sharpness, even with Canon's AA filter which creates amazing detail. Smooth MF for scenarios where there isnt enough light for the Af. AF hunts a quite a bit in interior lighting, but using the lens in MF 80% of the time anyway, so this hasn't been much of a concern. AF is slow compared to wildlife lenses, but is fine for portraits and macro, where you're composing the shot more than capturing an exact moment.

Works very well
This was a welcome addition as an entry level macro lens. I spent a lot of time hanging out by the butterfly bush and taking pictures of friends. This is a very user friendly lens. I wish the auto focus was a little quieter but it rarely interfered with the subject unless I got tooo close. Well worth the savings.

For a real macro lens(1:1),the price is right,the lens is sharp,and a 2.8 aperature, a pretty good portrait lens! What's not to like?This is my second time purchasing this lens

Best value for your money
You will not find a better deal on a macro lens. This lens is plenty sharp, outstanding for portraits, and has an artistic look with a lot of dimension that is just not present in a lot of newer lenses. I actually just bought my second copy because i know this thing is going to go up.
