I had to repair a ranch gate made of 20 gage galvanized. When I went too THE local tool place I bought a big box of ¼".rivets, that's when I founds out that the only place tho get a hand tool that would handle ¼" was Grainger. Their's was no better quality than this one - it was $89.67...... I would recommend this tool tho anyone who needs it. It worked well for the gate and a quick repair to a screen door, I will use this rivet tool as often as my smaller ones. It gets into odd places and is easy to operate.

It seems to be built well and worked flawlessly, I can tell this will be in my tool box for years to come. Very easy to use, goes through 1/4 rivets without hesitation and fastens them tight. The catch can for the rivet shafts is nice to have as well. All in all very happy with this tool.

This riveter was priced very reasonably, was not expecting it to be the best quality. I needed it for a project that required just a few large rivets. But was very pleased with the quality and function. this is a great tool for the money I would recommend it, a good value.

When I bought this tool I was skeptical about its quality. Mainly because it was so cheap. I am rebuilding an old bass boat and have snapped rivet after rivet with this thing and it is still going. I figured if it made it through this one job I would be happy. I'm a professional mechanic by trade and have always bought the best tools for my work. This is one time that I didn't and I can honestly say that I don't think the higher priced rivet tools could have done one bit better. The only down side is the throw of the handles. They're a little bit wide for some tight areas. But other than that it does a great job. I have been using the "Pop" brand of rivets with steel mandrels. So far so good. I have popped at least one hundred rivets so far and it is still working like new. I can't say how good it does on the larger rivets because I haven't used any that were larger than 3/16 inch. But for the 1/8 and 3/16 inch sized rivets you can't go wrong in my opinion.Read full review

A better alternative to cheap one hand riveters, a must have tool if you have larger rivets for auto or aircraft work, plus it does the smaller handicraft rivets and is easier to control than a single handed tool and far cheaper than an air powered tool.
