Excellent Recorder
As always the Magnavox DVD recorder is an excellent machine. Easy to use and makes high quality recordings. Even though it doesn't have a tuner in it you can connect an external tuner to it and get great results. Also it is not picky about disks as long as they aren't scratched or blemished. Always Been A Great Recorder
I have been using these recorders for many years and they have always been a great recorder. Very easy to setup and use. They can take a lot of hard usage and continue to be very reliable. They are not perfect though.. The lazer does wear out eventually and they become very picky towartds the end of their life. It's unfortunate that hey are no longer available new in the USA. it would appear stupid to purchase a dvd player with no remote or cords, even paperwork etc. How ever I was happy to see it being sold all the same as I owned one exactly like this one and it would no longer record. I was able to replace it without the costly expense of a new one, I still had the cords, remote and instruction paperwork etc. so it worked out for me to just replace the box all together. Can't get enough
A great device that works like accrue, but burns video on to Dad's. That format is much clearer and longer lasting than videotape. I am using it to preserve family videotapes and 8mm movies.
