The Garmin nuvi 1450LMT has a screen resolution of 480×272 pixels and has a WQVGA color TFT display. It is powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion battery which has a battery life of three hours. The Garmin GPS receiver is preloaded with street maps, many preset waypoints, and ten routes. The map database within the Garmin nuvi 1450LMT can be updated. The large-screen GPS receiver has a built-in, solid state memory, the capacity of which can be expanded with micro SD data cards. The Garmin GPS receiver has an internal speaker that annoz. directions along with street names. It also features an anti-theft system. This GPS has problems
I had the same GPS that I brought in 2011. It was very good. But the one I just purchased has some problems. First, it doesn't take charge using its own charger. I had to buy Garmin GPS USB Port Charge & Power Cable With Mini USB Plug NO PC Sync Problem at $19.99 from Ebay too. I'm using this Nuvi 1450LMT anywhere we go because it's very reliable even in Canada. Better than the new ones

Better than my built-in-dash GPS
Unlike the very expensive in-dash GPS unit in my car, the Garmin maps can be updated free for life, it monitors current traffic conditions to adjust routing, it shows me the posted speed limit, and its user interface is much more "friendly". I already had this model Garmin in my other car. So this purchase was to get an identical GPS, and to use it instead of the in-dash unit.
