The Sling Media SB100-100 is a device that was designed to stream audio and video to different televisions throughout the home. The Sling Media SB100-100 is wired and connects using an HDMI cable from the device where the videos are being stored. This Sling Media digital media streamer can input up to three different devices and has a built-in tuner. There is no monthly fee associated with connecting to the Slingbox network either. The Sling Media SB100-100 is simply connected to the cable box or DVR and it is ready to stream. An Internet connection is required to stream videos on this Sling Media digital media streamer. This wired media streamer is also designed to stream video in 1080 high definition. A person will be required to have a high definition-capable television. This fully wired media streamer is easy to use and comes with a remote so the user is able to play, pause, rewind, and fast forward their streaming videos.

    Had one when it was new. It's great having the toy again.

    I wanted to try the only model I knew of that would work point to point without needing the mfgr's server and had installation software. I have this running on Win10 though it reports an error. I couldn't get it to run on Win7 and I will probably setup WinXP as a virtual machine in Linux for production. I haven't tried through the firewall to the Net but there is no reason it shouldn't work. Nor have I tried the ir remotely. However, my guess is that there could be security flaws over the Internet since the product is no longer supported.

    a whole new world of mobile tv

    i love these - i see no reason why cable has to stay home - i get to watch tv anywhere i have internet, it works great and its nice to watch the shows on my dvr from work - only downside is you have to pay for the iphone app
