The Western Digital WD5000AVVS hard drive is an internal computer component. This internal hard drive can be used as an addition to or replacement for a computer’s preinstalled memory storage. The Western Digital hard drive can add 500 GB of storage capacity to a system. The Western Digital WD5000AVVS hard drive provides a maximum external data transfer rate of up to 300 MBps. This internal hard drive uses a maximum internal data transfer rate of up to 145 MBps. The unit uses an 8 MB buffer. The hard drive interface for this Western Digital hard drive is a 7-pin Serial ATA/300 Serial ATA port. The unit meets green compliance standards and has a compatible drive bay width of 3.5 inches. The hard drive uses IntelliPark, SilkStream, and IntelliSeek technology. This Western Digital hard drive measures 1.02 inches high by 4.01 inches wide by 5.78 inches deep and weighs 1.38 lbs. The unit is compatible with a variety of computers, operating systems, and software.
