Great pseudo-latte
The latte tastes great (brewed coffee rather than espresso but it is still really good)...it really only makes one tall cup or two very small cups -but that works for me as I am the only one using it. I actually fill the milk to the 1 cup logo on the pot and the water level to halfway between the 1 & 2 cup logo's and it fills my 15 1/2 oz coffee cup perfectly! It is a little weird having the hot plate in the bottom of the carafe -not sure why they decided to do it that way -but if you clean it right away it doesn't burn like some have complained about. Like it so much I bought 4 over the years
From the first one I bought I knew it was perfect for me. I went and bought a 2nd (when they were still being manufactured). Then I found one at a discount store, the last one on clearance. Bought it. Over the years when one part quit I swapped it out using parts from the three. This year I needed another carafe. Looked all over. I bid on one on E Bay and lost it in the final second. Then I found another complete unit from a reputable seller and bought it outright on E Bay. Happy with my purchase though I paid twice what the one I bid on went for. Very effective latte machine
This is a great latte machine. No funky steam spray into a can of milk. This machine whips the milk inside the carafe as the coffee brews. Makes a great, hot cup of Joe. It is actually our second machine as we simply wore out our first one. This machine was nearly new and in perfect shape. Latte Lover!
The café latte maker is my favorite kitchen appliance. I experimented with the recipes until I found what works for me. I have found that unsweetened vanilla almond milk froths the best for me. I add stevia or agave to sweeten my lattes. I clean it easily immediately after use by rinsing the insides with warm/hot water and that make clean up fast. Best Easy Latte Machine Out There!
I ordered the second one for a friend since I love this machine so much. It is easy to use with a one-step lever you push down to start the brewing process and the frothing at the same time. In two minutes do you have a wonderful frothy latte for 1/4 what you pay at the coffee houses. I have adapted the basic recipe to make a healthy mocha latte. I use organic coffee and distilled water in the brew top, put soy milk sprinkled with Stevia and a little dark chocolate baking cocoa into the carafe pitcher and turn it on with one click of the lever. There are many coffee recipes available either in the instruction book or online at mrcoffee.com. You can also make frothy hot chocolate and teas. I purchased an extra carafe with a stir lid on eBay for future use just in case. You can also get a reusable permanent filter for the latte machine on mrcoffee.com. Makes the best frothy coffee black or latte
We have had this coffee maker for a long time. When my husband was cleaning it with the wrong tool he broke the glass. He was beside himself. He had be search and search for the replacement. When I told him that there was not replacement, he said to buy another unit regardless of the price! The three days we waited for the shipping, you would have thought he lost his puppy.
