We thought it woud be a great cap, as it fits on the Ford E-450 inlet. But when it comes to use it, the key is a feature that shoud just not be there, it does not work well, it requires minutes to allow the cap to open, the key switch is just designed in such a manner that it is really fossy if the key is not at the right depth, angle, mood... This will not make to our production. Bad product, we will need to replace it. Waste. I wish I knew before I got it.

I was looking for a locking fuel cap and so when I put in my information for my vehicle in this item popped up. It looked like what I needed so I trusted their vehicle chart telling me it would fit my truck. It doesn’t fit and I don’t have anything to use it on. I wasted $20.

The cap fits fine but for some reason it's a little tough to get the key turned while it's on. Had to put key on its own ring and still had trouble turning it. Also was able to remove without key. It's more of a deterrent but dont think it would stop someone who really wants to steal my fuel.

I took the old cap off and replaced with this, because we have a fuel thief that likes to take 5 to 10 gallons of fuel at a time. This is done at night in a well lite area with an alarm system on the truck. Cops can't figure out who this guy is, even though video shows him, but not any details. The locking cap seems to have stopped this guy. I think because it would be to much of an effort to remove it without setting off the alarm. Personally I would like to catch the guy and shot him in the knee cap, so every time he would take a step, he'd remember how and why he is now in so much pain. Plus it would slow him down and give him a distinctive gait, so the cops could catch him next time. People like this not only steal fuel they take other things too. I only wish the locking cap had a tether; placing it in my pocket while fueling is my only option, other wise it falls to the ground.Read full review
