I bought this to use in my Computer with my Asus Crosshair iv Formula motherboard, and 16 gig's of crucial tactical tracer memory. With six-cores and running at 3.1 ghz, without having to over-clock, it really is pretty fast and snapping, can even play high end games with ease especially on steam. I only stick with asus, amd, and I was going to get the new 8-core fx eeries, but decided against it. I am happy with amd's phenom 6-core, that maybe in the future i will upgrade, but for awhile, Amd's 6-core line of processors is well worth getting for the money, and are power houses for multi tasking, and if you tune your pc and/or overclock correctly, their processors can become superior to what you are trying to accomplish.
Initially I was skeptical about the upgrade. I was running a quad core processor and it had ample speed but running certain games and programs tended to push it harder than I'd care to so I chose to upgrade. Boy, What a difference! No longer does it bog down under pressure and it runs as quiet as it did when I first bought it. As the title says WORTH EVERY PENNY!

Processor works as expected , fully capable of supplying the GPU with plenty of processing power for playing Battlefield 4 on ultra settings. I would recommend this CPU to anyone who's on a budget but wants a bit more OOMPH than a quadcore. This CPU isn't designed for overclocking, but it is possible given appropriate circumstances (all overclocking will occur through the HTLink/FSB) I have yet to see the Turbocore kick in and operate at 3.2ghz across 3 cores, which could be attributed to most games are starting to utilize more than 1 core/thread.
used cpu but works. easy to install on a 2010 HP Backup machine. at first ran a little hot install a bigger cpu heat sink and fan that cool it off to 23C or 88 degrees works fine no problems would buy from seller again

I purchased this to replace my 2 core Athon II CPU, I am not ready to part with my current computer and figured the 6 core Phenom II would give me a few more years until I have to build a new PC. My System runs much better now, no issues.
