The hose is very undersized for the barbs that you have to slide it onto, it may be an issue installing it in a very very tight space to begin with. I did it with my intake completely removed and installed the PCV on the hose before I put it all back in the car. On a positive note, it is a different material than the one that I replaced it with, there seemed to be multiple layers to the hose that I replaced, that hose had a rigid outer layer that disintegrated and allowed hose to collapse. This hose appears to be all solid construction without laminated layers.
