Had the FIA Storm front for my 05 Duramax and was happy, so I wanted to get the same one when I bought my 12 Duramax. Its the same thick high quality material as before, but the mounting "hardware" is a bit anemic. Only came with stick on snaps to apply to the grille surround for the bottom edge of the front, with stick on Velcro strips for the top. I am a firm believer in 3M self adhesive stuff for moulding, etc. but I don't think they have a chance holding up on the front of a vehicle especially trying to install them in winter, in Montana. The idea is to have that storm front fairly taught and I could see it flying off going down the highway with all the stick on mounting hardware attached. My last FIA storm front came with metal screw on snaps as well, but this one did not. Quick trip to ACE solved that issue and I had the bottom edge locked in. The top with the self adhesive Velcro strips is a little chinsy. I understand why they did it that way, on that model year there is no solid grille surround to fix snaps to (the chrome edge is actually mounted to the hood) but I feel they could have come up with a better way. Overall I am still pleased with the product and overall quality, and would recommend, but the mounting hardware leaves a little to be desired.
