My Net N900 HD Dual Band Router
I have used several of these (N600, N750) and now the N900. Western Digital equipment has been very reliable for me and is very easy to setup. Changing administrative password and wifi passwords is a snap. The wifi range is excellent. I have the N900 in the basement and have great coverage on the main floor and very good on the upstairs floors. Unique 7 port router with gigabit in-out speed and slow NAS
Wifi range is Ok to mediocre, network wired speed is very good, but NAS storage is only USB 2.0 and access to 4TB external hard drive is comparable to your USB stick, which is about 5 times slower than any SATA hard drive today - Enough to watch 1080 video but copying files to NAS takes forever and often return errors when copy multiple large files. Hard drive tested with router was 4TB seagate SATA. My Second N900
This is my second N900, the first one I purchased a few years ago and is still working great. I saw this one and the price was great compared to what I paid for my current one. I didn't really need it but bought it as a backup, just in case the other goes out. I have it hooked up to our smart tv, I use it mainly as a hard wired system, wired to three desk tops at home and the wireless works with my wife's laptop. Also it acts as a wifi for mobile phones - so all texts/data/videos.... go through the N900 and not our phone provider.
