    Sleek, small, capable, just works

    From the Steve Jobs II golden age of Apple product design. Note that, since it’s aluminum (which is a soft metal!) you want to treat it gingerly to avoid dropping, knicking/bending the case. This device is a combo of all CD/DVD functions in a small elegant and easily stored form. *Only works with Macs lacking such a drive inside (mine is a MacBook Air early-2015)

    Good but other options might be better

    I got this cheap and I would not pay more than one third of the list price for one of these because it's way overpriced and the need for CDs is rapidly declining. It looks good and works well with my MAC, but I have never been able to successfully burn a double layer DVD although it's supposed to be able to. I would try another brand unless you're a die hard Apple fan.

    Great drive with one limitation

    This is a great drive. My only complaint is that Apple won’t let you use it with a Mac that has a built in DVD drive. It only works with Macs that don’t have built in drives. Caveat emptor.

    Works as advertised, was delivered in a timely fashion and was a good price. This was a just in case purchase, as CD's and DVD's are hardly used anymore and my Mac Book Pro does not come with one, but I still have a few DVD's and CD's... so as I said... it's for just in case and well worth the price... it's like new and one of the later discontinued models, so it has faster speeds.     Lightweight and easy to move between computers
