    make sure it has Seagate firmware and formatting, not an OEM product

    Be careful when you buy this product. If it is an OEM specific product that Seagate made for other hardware companies, they may have customized this drive to their specs with custom non Seagate firmware and specialized low level formatting to their specs. Make sure when you buy this that it has genuine Seagate firmware and low level formatting.
